What are the advantages of using Rooftop AHUs for data centers? I can imagine the cost is lower with AHUs than precision air conditioners. Since IT Managers are running servers at higher temperatures, do we need expensive Liebert crac units?

I think that in the future we will see more standard air handlers used in data ceners. ASHRAE has basically expanded the window for temperature and humidity that servers can be operated at. You no long HAVE to run servers at 68°F and 50% RH. Many servers are operating at 80°F or even higher.
